P003. Second circle

Second Circle is a concept created from a school brief about mental health. I chose to focus on young adults who move to a new city and need to find new people in their life, a kind of “second circle.” That’s where the name comes from.

The project combines a mobile app with a wearable bracelet. The idea is to make it easier and less stressful to meet new people and build real connections.

The app matches users into small groups based on shared interests and values, without using profile pictures. This helps create a more open and less judgmental experience. It also suggests activities, so users don’t have to overthink planning and can actually meet.

The bracelet works like a modern friendship band. It measures simple things like heart rate and touch during meetups to give an idea of stress or emotions. After the meeting, the user can reflect on how they felt. This makes it easier to understand yourself and grow over time.

In this project I worked with both UX and UI. I created user flows and a customer journey to map the full experience, and I tested prototypes to see what worked and what didn’t.

I also built my own design system from scratch, with components, colors, and variables to keep everything consistent.

Second Circle is about helping people find their place and build a new social circle in a simple and more human way.
